Fortnite Reveals Another Dragon Ball Crossover!

January 31, 2023 by Todd Black

The characters, they’re OVER 9000!!!

If there was ever any doubt that Fortnite would continue to dominate in 2023, let those doubts be dispersed. Because today, Epic Games revealed a follow-up collaboration to one of the more popular crossovers they’ve done in recent years. In 2022, they dropped a Dragon Ball crossover that featured Goku, Vegeta, and Beerus the Destroyer God coming into the game. You also got to use the Kamehameha Wave, ride the Flying Nimbus Cloud, and so on. Oh, and you could finally take a picture of Goku and Superman hanging out and/or killing one another, depending on where you stand in that debate.

Regardless, the crossover was a huge success, so not surprisingly, Fortnite revealed on Twitter that the next collaboration with the beloved anime would happen via the arrival of Gohan and Piccolo. These two coming into the game are appropriate given that last year marked their starring roles in the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Both of them came off well in the eyes of fans, and now they can further show their love for the “father/son duo” in this game:

Get ready to power up with the return of Fortnite x Dragon Ball!

Son Gohan and Piccolo make their way to the Island. There’s also the return of the Dragon Ball Adventure Island, Kamehameha attack item and Nimbus Cloud (Kitoun) mobility item.https://t.co/obJoJO9YNm pic.twitter.com/CnbJ1Yv8wc

As you can see, both can show off their “super forms” in one version or another. However, if you want to get Orange Piccolo, you’ll need a special spray to purchase alongside some new items. Furthermore, the Kamehameha Wave and Flying Nimbus Cloud are back, so use them at your leisure.

Additionally, if you missed out on the first collaboration and thus didn’t get many of the items or skins that the first round of fun offered, Epic Games confirmed that some of these items would be “returning soon.” So keep your eyes peeled, so you don’t miss out again.

Given the success these two new additions will have, the question becomes, “Who will arrive next?” There are plenty of Dragon Ball characters they could add and have fun with in future collaborations. Given how Fortnite loves to do new modes and give villains their due, it’s possible that they could bring in characters like Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. Buu would be particularly interesting as he can change people into candy, and you can easily do a fun mode built off of that.

Another possibility is the arrival of fusions, like Gotenks, Vegito, or Gogeta. Future Trunks is also very probable, given his high spot amongst fan-favorite characters.

No matter what the far future holds, the near future will be filled with fun things for fans of the franchise.
