Marvel’s Spider-Man and its spin-off, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, were both really massive hits. Developers Insomniac Games have managed to bring out some thrilling experiences for the franchise; fortunately, they are not done with the IP. We already know that a sequel is coming called Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, although some of the finer details about what we can expect from this game are still a mystery. Nevertheless, things might still be developing smoothly over at Insomniac Games. A recent comment from a voice actor seems to feel that the game will manage to make its way out into the marketplace on time.
There’s no specific release date just yet for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but the development team is pushing for this year, 2023. Unfortunately, we’re waiting on another showcase to really unveil what exactly the narrative will entail for this installment. While we’re waiting on that big showcase event, a new interview with Yuri Lowenthal may indicate that more information should be coming sooner rather than later. If you’re unfamiliar with this actor by their name, this is the person responsible for giving Peter Parker a voice. Speaking with Comicbookmovie.com, the actor mentioned the current work on this upcoming video game release.
Apparently, there are still lines for Yuri Lowenthal to voice since this game is massive. While there’s still some work left for Yuri, he does feel confident that they will deliver the game this year. The actor noted that the developers are generally good with keeping their release dates, so we should see this game hit the marketplace before 2023 wraps up. Of course, that still has some fans a bit worried that with production still going on for voice acting, we might see his title get pushed further back into 2024. At any rate, all we can do is wait for the next big showcase highlight for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
I’ve still got a little bit to do. It’s a massive game so I’m still doing a little bit of work. I know they’re confident about their release date and Insomniac has always been good about that. Obviously, I can’t really talk about the game much, but I will tell you that it’s astonishing.

While the production is still underway for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we do know that the game is being developed as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. So those of you on PlayStation 4 will have to make the upgrade if you want to experience this installment. We’re certainly interested in seeing how the development team can further push the gameplay for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with the game on the latest Sony hardware. In the meantime, you can check out the game trailer announcement within the video we have embedded above.
