Capcom is opening a bar in Shinjuku. I hear the Ryu noodles pack a real punch. I am so sorry.
Capcom will be opening the bar next in Japan’s extremely busy and popular Shinjuku district as a cultural and public relations outpost for the company, which is actually based on Osaka. The menu will include Capcom themed food and drinks, and the bar will also host public events.
The bar will be called Capcom Bar (who would have thought?) and will open January 25th in Shinjuku’s Pasela Resort. While details are a little bit sketchy, it looks as though the bar could also include demo and game kiosks, so you can get drunk as hell while playing video games – which I suppose you can do at home, but maybe if you leave the house this time, you won’t wind up watching Guile’s Theme videos and singing to the cat until 4am.
It’s worth noting that Capcom is partnering with Pasela on the bar, Pasela as in the Pasela karaoke bar chain, though, so you might end up singing to a group of strangers instead.
