Playing Final Fantasy XIII isn’t Necessary for Final Fantasy XIII-2

December 14, 2011 by Mat Growcott

Final Fantasy XIII-2 contains a ‘Beginner’s Primer’ explaining the story of Final Fantasy XIII.

Excited for Final Fantasy XIII-2 but you never managed to play Final Fantasy XIII? Perhaps you couldn't get past the first couple of hours in the original but are impressed by the improvements made in its sequel? Well then you don't need to worry, from the main menu in Final Fantasy XIII-2 you can access the Beginner's Primer, a short guide to the characters and events of the original.

All thirteen chapters are rapidly summed up, leaving you ready to journey through time and space without any risk of confusion, just like Back to the Future 2. Some rather cruel people might say that being able to read the game would be more fun than playing it, but would it be as pretty? I don't think so!
