There is a massive following for the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy video game. Players can’t wait to throw on their robes, attend their dorm house, and begin their journey of becoming a wizard. But we know there’s no chance we’ll see some of these iconic characters from the franchise. The upcoming video game takes place quite a few years ago, during the 1800s, so it’s not surprising we won’t see Harry and his friends roaming the school grounds. Although, it does look like some ancestors of these characters might pop up. Today, we’re finding out that a Weasley might be featured as another student attending classes.
The developers have said we’ll see a Weasley or two within the game. However, we haven’t seen who actually will be in the game carrying the Weasley surname. But thanks to one fan who recently watched a behind-the-scenes video of the game, it looks like a frame might have unveiled one of these characters. If you’ve been studying the different trailers and gameplay footage that have surfaced online, you might already be familiar with Hector Jenkins. This is one of the students in the game, but the Jenkins surname could be a placeholder during the marketing videos shared online.
Twitter user 3ugene_tm posted a screenshot showing the character with the Hector Jenkins name. But, for one frame, it appears that his last name changed to Weasley. So now fans are wondering if Hector Jenkins is just a name tossed into the game simply to avoid spoiling this character as one of the ancestors of Ron Weasley. At any rate, it’s purely a waiting game to see if this is actually the case.
As mentioned, Hogwarts Legacy will be putting players into the 1800s. Here you’ll step into the role of a newcomer to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Recently, the development team over at Avalanche Software offered a gameplay video showcase highlighting the school, combat, and character customization. You can check that particular video out in the video embedded below. Meanwhile, the official release date for Hogwarts Legacy is set to launch on February 10, 2023, for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Meanwhile, a Nintendo Switch platform release is set to launch later on. Unfortunately, a release date for just when Nintendo Switch owners will get to pick up this game has yet to be officially unveiled.
