Attention all future prison wardens, developers Double Eleven has revealed a brand new video of their upcoming console release of Prison Architect. However, this video doesn’t just showcase an hour of gameplay footage, but instead unveils some of the exclusive features that will be coming to the game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 once it releases later this spring. Gaz Wright, lead designer of Double Eleven for the console release of Prison Architect, takes charge of the Let’s Play video as he introduces new enhancements placed within the game that was previously unavailable when the Prison Architect first released last year on the PC.
Some of these features include a new user interface, HUD display, menu system, quick rooms, and also the introduction of the difficulty options. Furthermore, Gaz Wright also showcases some of the best community made prisons so far.
As mentioned earlier, Prison Architect released already on the PC platform, but it’s aimed to also launch later this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android, and lastly, iOS. The game puts players into the shoes of a prison warden as the construct and maintain their very own prison.
Players can add workshops and reform programs along with keeping a schedule for the prison inmates. According to a press release, the console version of the game will also include a story mode along with a sandbox mode with in-game community features to allow players to share their maximum security prison online.
