Nintendo Switch Sports has had a lot of annoying bugs lately, over the past weekend that had such a big bug that they actually had to pull some servers down briefly. After an update this week, the servers went came back online, however, there were still many problems after the new Nintendo Switch Sports was updated to 1.2.3. Nintendo Switch Sports got a 1.2.2 update earlier this week to allow the first time to save data backup…which only seems o be working harder than smarter. The update didn’t seem to resolve the issue either with all the players.
An update was scheduled for yesterday, October 19, which was followed by a save data backup.
Here’s a list below of the things fixed and updated in Ver. 1.2.3:
- We made a fix for players who can’t even resolve the issue of software closing without the application of the previous update (Ver. 1.2.2). Please see this page for more details.
- After this update save data has resumed service.
- For certain players, the order of items in the “Customize” section might differ from its order before the update. This won’t have any impact on the games.
The free update for Nintendo Switch Sports is now available, bringing all the things listed above. As well as having all the serves back online for players to play as normal once again.
If you are a member of Nintendo Switch Online and own Nintendo Switch Sports, your membership will be given an extension to 1 more week added to it. As well as, points earned between October 17 and November 2nd when playing “Plau Globally” will be doubled in all sports:
- Normally, 1.1x to 1.3x points are given in “Random” or in one of the sports.
- There are plans for a method to collect rewards missed during this time. Details will follow in the future.
Nintendo Switch Sports is set in a facility that houses multiple different kinds of sports called Spocco Square, which is known for having been on previous versions of the game like tennis and bowling from the Wii Sports and swordplay from Wii Sports Resort, which was known as chambara within the game. Now there are also three new sports, soccer, volleyball, and badminton. Back in August, Nintendo Switch Sports was having a problem with somewhat players called…”sticky balls” after players bowling balls were not releasing when they clicked the release button. That has also been worked out to where you can now play bowling a lot smoother.
Nintendo Switch Sports can be purchased on the eShop or where Nintendo Switch games are sold. Some parts of the game will require a Nintendo Switch Online membership which can also be bought through the eShop with your credit or gift card.
