With the sheer amount of sales Modern Warfare 3 has gotten in the last week and a bit, it should come as no surprise that it's been a very popular game on Xbox Live. Popular enough to replace Black Ops as the most played game on Major Nelsons Live Activity post. Black Ops has dropped to second, followed by Battlefield 3 which has narrowly beat out Modern Warfare 2.
Somebody at Activision is currently jumping up and down in excitement.
It'll be interesting to see how long Battlefield 3 lasts, Bad Company 2 seemed to die off relatively quickly and it wasn't unusual to get into a game that had only a couple of players on each side. Battlefield 3 had a bit more going for it, far more people seem aware of it, enough people that it has topped Gears of War 3, an immense achievement in itself.
