Ubisoft has announced the upcoming release of the demo for Rayman Origins on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network. The demo is set to go live on November 9, 2011, and will include three maps from the Jungle, Food, and Ocean worlds.
Players can collect 9 Electoons within the demo, which unlocks a new costume to use in the full version of the game. The demo also offers a custom map to navigate through the (currently limited) worlds.
Developed by Ubisoft Montpelier under the guidance of game designer Michel Ancel and writer Gabrielle Shrager, Rayman Origins follows the story of Rayman, his friend Globox, and two Teensies, as they fight against the evil Darktoons who have invaded the Glade of Dreams with their nightmarish creatures.
The game offers both single player and multiplayer modes, with an emphasis on cooperative gameplay for up to four players. The objective of the player (or players, as the case may be) is to collect Electoons scattered throughout the levels and save the Glade of Dreams.
Rayman Origins is set for release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii on November 25. Ubisoft also plans to release the game on both the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita at a later time.
