Xbox has just unveiled the latest titles that will be making their way into the Xbox Game Pass library before the end of the month. There are some interesting new games for subscribers to check out on console, PC and through cloud gaming, including the much-rumoured Immortals Fenyx Rising, which will be heading to Game Pass on August 30.
Amongst the games available to play today is Coffee Talk, a visual novel set in a futuristic vision of Seattle where a whole host of mythical creatures co-exist less than harmoniously with the rest of humanity. One for fans of chilled-out, low-effort gaming, Coffee Talk is now playable on console, cloud and PC.
Next week will see the addition of a number of new games on Xbox Game Pass. First up, players can try out Midnight Fight Express as a day one release on the service on August 23. A brawler that takes place amidst the background of a criminal underworld, Midnight Fight Express tasks players with preventing the outbreak of a criminal takeover, so expect plenty of action and combat. Following up on August 25, players can jump into Exapunks on PC. It’s an open-ended puzzle game from the creators of the also recently added to Game Pass title Shenzhen I/O. Joining Exapunks on August 25 is Opus: Echo of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition. This will be playable on both PC and console and is another visual novel style of game which received critical praise, telling an intriguing story that spans galaxies.
August 30 will see some big hitters head into the Xbox Game Pass library. First up, as a day one release on PC, console and cloud, players will be able to try out the HD remaster of Commandos 3. Another pretty exciting day one release on August 30 will be Sam Barlow’s highly-anticipated new game Immortality. Telling the mysterious story of the disappearance of wannabe starlet Marissa Marcel, this interactive game will be available to players on PC, cloud and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The last of the day one releases on August 30 is Tinykin, which will be playable on console and PC and sends players on a mystery journey through an ant-sized world back in 1991. Nostalgia and cuteness in one tiny package.
Finally, Immortals Fenyx Rising will round off the new additions to Xbox Game Pass on August 30. This soaring adventure, inspired by Greek mythology will give players yet another of Ubisoft’s big games to explore and enjoy on Game Pass, after recent additions such as Far Cry 5, Watch Dogs 2 and the recent free weekend play of Far Cry 6.
It’s also a good time to finish up any quests or choose to purchase some of the following games that’ll be leaving the service on August 31. Two of the more notable games leaving the roster this month are Hades and What Remains of Edith Finch, so if you want to keep those to play later, be sure to buy them now before they vanish. Games leaving on August 31 are as follows.
- Elite Dangerous
- Hades
- Myst
- NBA 2K22
- Signs of the Sojourner
- Spiritfarer
