The PC version of Dead Island was patched over the weekend, increasing the level cap, offering better rewards for weapon crates and a handful of other improvements. It also fixed quite a few prominent issues that were causing people to go off the game.
From what I can make out, the patch fixed some issues and left others, but for the most part I think people are happy.
I mean PC people are happy, console gamers are still awaiting a fix for the widespread issues which are plaguing their experience. Talking with VG 24/7, Aubrey Norris explained the situation. “We’re going to work on getting the update out as soon as we can – hurrying it along too fast will just give us a bad patch,” which I can't argue with. Via twitter she continued, "people put so much pressure on devs to announce specific release dates and then when something happens to change that they just rage again."
The fickle nature of the internet.
So, be happy that a patch is coming and that it'll be with you as soon as possible. Just don't expect it immediately.
