World of Warcraft and Starcraft II may be getting plenty of love today at BlizzCon, but that hasn't stopped Blizzard from giving fans of Diablo III what they want with the release of a brand new cinematic trailer depicting Leah, daughter of Adria and the godchild of Deckard Cain, poring through ancient Horadric manuscripts in search of answers to the Black Soulstone, which rests upon her writing table among other strange and curious relics.
Leah slips into a dream, in which we get a first glimpse of Azmodan the Lord of Sin and lesser evil—Diablo III's big bad who plots to become a Prime Evil by unleashing his hordes upon the world of Sanctuary, now purged of Diablo, Mephisto and Baal.
Little else is revealed in the trailer, but it's worth the watch for the quality alone, which—true to form—may be one of Blizzard's best.
Diablo III is exclusive to the PC and Mac, and will be released "when it's done."
