Whether it’s a TV show or a movie, sometimes a product or franchise comes around that is just so incredible or “out there” that fans can’t help but love it, talk about it constantly, and want more of it. The Rick and Morty franchise on Adult Swim is absolutely that kind of thing. Because what might’ve started out as a very twisted parody of Back to the Future’s iconic pairing quickly became one of the deepest, darkest, and most anticipated series ever with every single season that came out. And now, Rick and Morty Season 6 is almost here.
We’ve known about this season for a while now, but true to the nature of those who have been working on this show, they’ve been very quiet about what’s going on with it and what to expect. So, when the tweet above dropped today stating that the show will arrive on September 6th, fans were no doubt elated, as were the team, naturally:

More than a hit show, it is truly a global phenomenon,” Michael Ouweleen, the president of Adult Swim and Cartoon Network, shared in a new statement. “As we prepare to launch this soon-to-be iconic season, we will be giving fans a unique way to be part of the fun – so keep your eyes peeled.”
Rick and Morty has done all sorts of promotion in the past to hype up their seasons, so it’s impossible to know what’s coming. Here is the first official description of Rick and Morty Season 6:
“It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Another can’t miss season of your favorite show.”
