Microsoft's Major Nelson has announced that two new 250GB Xbox 360 bundles will be on their way to retailers soon, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The first bundle, sitting at $299, gets you the console, a copy of Fable III, and a code for a digital download of Halo Reach. The second, retailing for $399, includes the system, a Kinect sensor, Kinect Adventures, and a download code for Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do. In addition, both bundles come packed with a code for three free months of Xbox Live Gold service.
The price points on both packages are rather generous, given that a 250GB 360 S currently sells for $299 by itself, with the Kinect costing an additional $149 on top of that. That means the cheaper bundle gives you Fable III and Halo Reach for no extra cost, while the more expensive one cuts $50 off the price of the Kinect and throws in two games on top of that. Those sound like great deals, even when you factor in the overwhelming shame of owning Carnival Games.
Both of the new bundles are currently available for order from Amazon, and are expected to hit brick and mortar retailers within the next few weeks.
