PeekYou has a highly scientific, completely inarguable and unimaginably sound announcement according to GameSetWatch: Cliff Bleszinski, the lead developer behind the Gears of War series, is the top developer under 40.
How did they compute this? Simple, really. They measured developer's web presence, including "blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news." Huh, that sounds exactly like Klout, doesn't it? In any case, Cliff scored a godly 8.12/10 (though by his standards, it's a score only a hater could give out) on his 'digital footprint'. Other developers in the top 10 include Hideki Kamiya (RE2), Casey Hudson (Mass Efffect), Vince Zampella (COD4), Jason West (COD4), James Ohlen (Baldur's Gate), Chris Metzen (WoW), Dan Houser, (GTA), Sam Houser (RDR), and Chet Faliszek (L4D2). All of these developers scored somewhere within the 8.0-8.5 range.
If these developer scores were Metacritic scores, then, everyone would be delegated to "rent" status because they're not a 9 or above, right?
