Shoryuken has the latest scoop on the newest Skullgirls roster reveal, and it's a frightening character called Painwheel. Painwheel was once just a normal schoolgirl called Carol, at least until she was kidnapped. Taken to the Lab Zero, she was 'improved' upon with a bevy of disgusting ahd vile experiments which include blood transfusion and parasites. Not exactly the sorts of things that you want to subject a child to, right? As you might've guessed, such a transformation utterly transformed Carol to become mentally unstable, eventually becoming what we now know as 'Painwheel'
Apparently, the little schoolgirl is still in Painwheel, and can sometimes resurface–but most of the time, you're channeling Painwheel's rage to become an aerial menace. Painwheel charges up attacks and, if hit, she uses the damage helps boost her attack power.
The backstory is nothing if not disturbing, let's just hope that the character is equally captivating in practice.
