Deep Silver has just revealed the online co-op mode for Homefront: The Revolution. Titled "Resistance Mode", up to four players will be able to form a resistance cell and take on the North Korean army in a series of narrative-driven missions across occupied Philly.
Players can customize a personal roster of Freedom Fighters as players go from being rookie civilians to battle hardened soldiers, unlocking new skills, weapon blueprints, equipment and combat gear.
Xbox One owners will have first access to the mode when the Closed Beta runs from February 11-14. Registered members of the game's community will also be invited to check out Resistance Mode in upcoming Closed Beta tests from January 29 to February 5 on Xbox One.
"Homefront: The Revolution is this team's most ambitious project yet," said Hasit Zala, game director at Dambuster Studios. "In addition to our epic 30-plus hour single-player campaign, we expect to launch Resistance Mode with 12 Missions, packed with re-playability, and hope to release another 20 Missions within the first year. To ensure our community can always play together, all Resistance Mode Missions will be free to download."
Gamers who pre-order the title will receive the Revolutionary Spirit pack, which offers unique skins and unlocks for certain weapons in the campaign. The game is out on May 17 across Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms.
The co-op mode is showcased in the trailer below.
