There are people that hate Koei's Warriors series, inexplicably dismissing it as being nothing but running around and hitting people. I've tried offering alternate view points, stuff like "Yeah, but in Call of Duty all you do is shoot people," to which I once recieved the reply "yeah, but in Call of Duty you can pick up different guns."
Personally I love the series, my love of Dynasty Warriors goes back almost a decade now, back to Dynasty Warriors 2 – my first PS2 game. So I'm pretty happy to find out that Warriors Orochi 3 (Orochi 2 in Japan) will be coming out in Japan this Christmas. Using characters from Samurai Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 7, the evil demon warlord thing Orochi will return – this time with decent graphics and 120 characters to choose from.
Also, just to add to the awesomeness, players will be able to create battles, upload them to a server and have them rated, LittleBigPlanet style. No mention on how this will affect DLC, but it's early days yet.
Warriors Orochi 3 (Musou Orochi 2) will be available for purchase in Japan on 22nd December, this year.
