To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Pokemon games, Nintendo has announced that three special edition 2DS consoles will be released in Europe next month.
Launching on February 27th, the 2DS handhelds will come with a pre-installed Virtual Console copy of Pokemon Blue, Red, or Yellow. Each system is themed to its associated game's colour and will feature "classic packaging reminiscent of the original Game Boy games".
15 stickers and a code to download a theme are also included in the package, allowing you to further customise your system. The price of the bundles has not yet been announced.
Pokemon Blue, Yellow, and Red will be released through the Virtual Console on the same day to download – they each take up 11MB. Japan is also getting the 2DS bundles as well as physical copies of the games and a re-release of Pokemon Green.
