Fans who see the following video may be unsure of what to make of the new Super Mario 3D Land, which has just been announced as an exclusive Nintendo 3DS title.
Super Mario 3D Land takes elements from the previous Super Mario Bros. games and spices things up with 3D and gyroscopic features available only on the 3DS. The game's levels appear to vary from traditional 2D and Super Mario 64-esque 3D, to top-down elements that look like new additions to the classic series.
I'd say it's about time an original new Mario game appeared on the 3DS, which cries out for more games than the remakes it's been getting this past year.
The trailer can also be viewed in 3D at the Nintendo eShop.
