The Stanley Parable Co-Creator Reveals His New Game

December 4, 2015 by Carlos Chism

The title is…very long.

William Pugh, The co-creator of The Stanley Parable, has released a trailer for his new game: Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist. The end of the trailer also reveals that the game is out on Steam now, for free. Pugh had teased a new title from his Crows Crows Crows studio a few days ago. The trailer shows the player engaging in a heist, narrated step-by-step by a stressed-sounding director. It looks as though the player will enter a vault and should watch out for a tiger. The trailer can be seen below.

The game’s steam page describes it as a “15 minute heist game” where the player inhabits a master thief, participating in burglaries across Europe during the summer. Apparently, the writer of the Steam Store description went on strike halfway through, claiming that “it’s gone too far,” indicative of the humor most likely to be found in the game. We do also know that the title features voice acting by British comedian Simon Amstell, who formerly hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks. The other Stanley Parable developer Davey Wreden has also recently released a new game, titled The Beginner’s Guide.

Both The Beginner’s Guide and Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist are available now on Steam for PC.
