Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has teamed up with DC Entertainment to produce a short animated film to introduce Gotham City Impostors.
In case you were wondering, Gotham City Impostors is a multiplayer-only first person shooter set in Batman’s Gotham City. In it, two teams—one dressed as Batman, and the other as The Joker—attempt to kill each other with a variety of odds and ends. The game supports up to eight players per match across modes like Capture the Flag and other team-oriented challenges.
Like Team Fortress 2, players can customize their character’s costume, gadgets, and a variety of other aspects of the game. Gadgets include a jack-in-the-box grenade, grappling hooks, hang gliders, and rollerskates.
Gotham City Impostors is set to release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE in 2012. Monolith is developing the game.
