Former Kinect creative director Kudo Tsunoda is leaving the Xbox division in favor of Microsoft’s Windows Apps Studio, where he will be president. Tsunoda will oversee app development for Windows 10, HoloLens, Surface, and Xbox.
Tsunoda was already one of the leads on HoloLens and had been promoted to a bigger role earlier this year. Hanno Lemke and Shannon Loftis will take over as the new Microsoft Studios heads.
The official Xbox YouTube channel posted an announcement detailing the organizational shift. The video also mentions that there may be upcoming Gears of War-related news, though there is no concrete information (so you don’t have to impatiently scrub through looking for it).
