Sega has released a teaser trailer for the next Valkyria Chronicles game, titled Valkyria: Azure Revolution. The teaser gives you a quick look at the game, and was released simultaneously with the launch of the official website. The site features screenshots from the game, along with story information about the world, narrative, and characters. The information is currently only available in Japanese.
There is also some information towards the end of the teaser video. Small text reads: “Here lie the ‘circle of five’, whose vengeful actions brought forth an inferno of war. With their execution, the blood of the brave legions is redeemed, and a just peace born. They rest eternally in the land of their birth, by the grace of the Holy Mother.” This, along with the art style and gameplay teasers in the video, should get fans of the franchise excited.
The company filed trademarks in both English and Japanese for the next entry in the JRPG franchise last month, and it was recently revealed in Famitsu that the game will release for PlayStation 4 sometime next year. The teaser trailer says 2016, but a concrete release date has not been given. While a trademark has been filed in English, an American release has not been confirmed. The game will be accompanied next year by a Valkyria Chronicles remaster as well.
