Rare, Lionhead and Turn 10 Are Working on Next-Gen Games

October 4, 2011 by Karol Sultanescu

UK magazine Xbox World 360 claims that Rare is prototyping a “mature” launch title for the next-gen Xbox console, adding that Lionhead and Turn 10 are also working on next-gen games.

You might know Rare for their Kinect Sports releases, although you might remember them by being the developers that brought us Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts as well as Kameo.

Lionhead, notorious for the ambition of their lead designer Peter Molyneux, has released a couple of Fable games on the Xbox 360 while the Kinect powered Fable: The Journey is slated for next year. You might remember Milo & Kate being creepy yet revolutionary a few years ago. That game has since been canceled.

Turn 10 is most known for being the developers behind the Forza Motorsport series. They have released Forza 2, 3 and next Tuesday (or Friday if you’re in the UK) Forza 4 on the 360, with the first title being on the original Xbox.

E3 2012 is rumored to be the event at which the next Xbox will be announced, although nothing has yet been confirmed.
