For better or for worse, our current culture likes to know what other people think before watching a series or film or partaking in an activity. Though this often backfires heavily, sites like Rotten Tomatoes are often held as an indicator of what can and should be considered quality…at times. If nothing else, the site can give a peek into what people are thinking. To that end, if the critics are to be believed, then Ms. Marvel is a really good show.
Rotten Tomatoes posted on Twitter earlier this morning, sharing that the show has 45 critic reviews and a certified 95% fresh rating on the site. That’s an incredibly high score.

Most of the reviews praise actress Iman Vellani for portraying the fan-favorite comedic character in a wholesome and meaningful way, as well as how the supporting cast perfectly works together to tell their own stories. This coming-of-age tale comes off well in terms of tone, characterization, and visuals.
Granted, these reviews only cover the first few episodes. That doesn’t mean that fans can’t take some solace in knowing that tuning in week by week will likely lead to a fun time.
Here’s the newest synopsis for the show:
“Introduces Kamala Khan—a 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City. An aspiring artist, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she is a huge fan of the Avengers—and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel.”
