Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive celebrated a big milestone for Pillars of Eternity today. Made possible through a massive crowdfunding campaign of $4.5 million, Pillars is one of Steam's best-selling games this year (and has received great reviews).
Obsidian has further plans to expand the game's universe. “Pillars of Eternity has been a life-changing experience for me, and for everyone involved in its creation. Knowing that over half a million people have gotten to share in that is both flattering and humbling," said Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian. "I want to deeply thank all of our fans and supporters. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got next for the world of Eora.”
Pillars of Eternity came out on March 26 for PC (and Mac OS). The White March Part I, its first expansion, was released on August 25.
