Microsoft released a new trailer for the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians today and you can view it below.
Dubbed the “Launch Gameplay Trailer,” the trailer highlights what seems to be the main hook of Halo 5: Guardians’ narrative: Master Chief’s fall from grace as he goes rogue. However, this trailer gives us some highlights of actual gameplay from the game. Spartan ground-pounds (is that what we’re calling them?) are prevalent, as are all matter of Covenant and Promethean enemies, vehicles, and, of course, explosions. The trailer also reuses scenes from earlier trailers, such as the opening cinematic that was released online last month. This time, however, that scene’s inclusion is set to Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia.”
In other Halo 5 news, design director Kevin Franklin defended the inclusion of microtransactions in the game’s multiplayer component, 343 Industries is overhauling Forge mode, which will be released in December, and this is how you can exchange your Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition digital download code for a physical copy of the game.
Halo 5: Guardians, the first Halo game without local multiplayer, will be available on Oct. 27, exclusively on Xbox One. Will you be picking up the next chapter of the Master Chief saga?
