There was plenty of hype leading into April. Fans of The Last of Us were gearing up for the next season. Now that The Last of Us season 2 debuted last night, fans are commenting on the initial episode. However, some fans already pointed out one of the small cameo appearances. Did you catch this character?
The Last of Us season 2 will likely have plenty of little nods and references for fans to catch. One of the first cameos that fans have picked up on with this episode comes from a critical member of the game franchise. Thanks to a Reddit post, we’re finding out that the episode featured a small cameo of Gustavo Santaolalla.
For those who are not familiar with the person by name, this is a composer who created the score for the video game franchise. One of the big components that helped make this game series such a hit was the musical score. So, what better way to honor this person’s incredible work on the franchise than by adding him to the live-action adaptation?
It’s a small part, but Gustavo plays an instrument in a scene. You can view the Reddit post with Gustavo above. However, this wasn’t the only time the composer was featured in a cameo. Instead, a character was designed and placed into The Last of Us Part 2 video game based on the composer.
With just one episode down so far with this second season, we’re certainly interested to see if any other appearances pop up. Of course, we’ll have to wait until this coming Sunday to sit in and watch the next episode of this series adaptation. Meanwhile, we’re also keen to see just how much of a resurgence the video game franchise gets after this season concludes. It was also just last week we got the official reveal of The Last of Us Complete for those on PlayStation 5 who want both game installments in a single package.
