Nintendo does not seem to be hiding that they will be unleashing Octolings on Splatoon’s online servers very soon.

For today’s Splatfest, they announced that the theme was sponsored by sushi restaurant Kura-zushi. This time, you have to choose between squid sushi or octopus sushi! Aside from being creepy on a meta restaurant-mascots-of-the-food-they-serve level, it’s almost like Nintendo wants to know who wants to play Octolings by voting in the Splatfest. This Splatfest is occurring October 10 and 11, so who knows? You might actually be playing Octolings in Team Octopus then.
In other news, a new weapon is debuting worldwide, the Carbon Roller Deco. Functionally it’s just like the regular Roller, but some folks may prefer its unique look.
