The Arrowverse is in a state of great flux, and the fans are very much worried about what’s going to happen with it. And as for the Stargirl series, that has been a franchise that has had a unique story almost from the moment it came to be. A “passion project” for DC Comics legend Geoff Johns, he got approval to help make the series for the now defunct DC Universe streaming service (which was where Titans, Harley Quinn, Swamp Thing and others were born on).
But, JUST before its release, it was revealed that Stargirl would be both on DC Universe, and the CW, and then, by the time season 2 came around, it was solely on the CW. And now, with Season 3, it has another “honor” attached to it. Mainly in that due to the recent cancelations, it is the ONLY DC Comics series that will be airing in the fall lineup. No pressure!
Given the wild and wacky nature of the show, and how season 2 ended, one can only really wonder what’s going to happen in Season 3. So…its star decided to tease that:
“You know what, I’m just gonna say it,” Brec Bassinger said. “Murder mystery! And how evil and good are going to live in a town together and figure out who the murderer is.”
That is honestly a fair and appropriate summation of things. Because at the end of Season 2, the JSA (the new form anyway) teamed up with members of the ISA in order to beat Eclipso. Then it was revealed that said ISA members were going to “hang around” Blue Valley, including some of them being the neighbors of Stargirl.
That got the attention of Director Bones who…is no doubt going to have intentions for the town.
