There's a new Destiny patch for The Taken King that brings the game up to version 2.0.0.5. This basic piece of housekeeping fixes some issues that shipped with the release of the expansion or were introduced in the previous patch.
Among the fixes is one for the Titan's Hammer of Sol attack, which you'll no longer be able to spam.

Fixed an issue where players were occasionally not getting loot when opening chests

Fixed an issue where players were not earning their rightfully-owed equipment from Valus Ta'aurc
