To many, the Wii U and the 3DS were deemed “failures” to some due to a very basic reason, they didn’t match the sales of their previous mega-seller systems. To be fair, the 3DS did MUCH better than people care to remember, but the Wii U…not so much. Either way, no matter the sales, or lack thereof, of these systems, there is absolutely one thing that can be said: they had good games on them. After all, that’s what Nintendo does. But if you haven’t had the chance to get them yet…you need to do it soon.
As of today, credit cards on the Nintendo eShops for the Wii U and 3DS are going to be rendered invalid. So if that has been your main way to get these games in the past, you need to make sure you get them now before it’s too late.
Now, if you are panicking, fear not, there are other ways to go and purchase the games, including using some Nintendo eShop gift cards. But sadly, there’s a catch with that too. You see, if you do use them, you have until August to get all the games you want on both via these cards, as they’ll be rendered invalid by the end of that month.
Why is Nintendo pulling back on these two now? They have other things to focus on, including the Nintendo Switch (which is now Nintendo’s best-selling console ever) doing incredibly well and they clearly want to work on things like Nintendo Switch online and other features rather than having to rely on what comes from the now “old” systems.
There are a LOT of games you could get on both systems though. Including ones like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds, and many more. So purchase them before it’s too late!
