The well known ninja fighting franchise will include full blown multiplayer with its new installment. While unexpected for some, it’s certainly a sign of the times—Ninja Gaiden 3 will feature eight-player deathmatches, a detailed leveling system and customization options for your little cut-throat wall-runner.
While the game’s emphasis on swordplay and brutality remains unchanged on the single player side, Team Ninja have taken the multiplayer in another direction, giving you the ability to create your own ninja to compete with. The leveling system allows you to go from rookie ninja to master, unlocking new abilities, items and customization options.
Aside from the team-deathmatch and straight deathmatch modes, the game will also feature a fully fledged co-op mode, allowing players to have an additional ninja, AI or human, to slice enemies with.
Ninja Gaiden 3 is slated for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U early next year.
