Sword Coast Legends, the upcoming role-playing game from the designer of Dragon Age: Origins has been delayed by a week on the PC and by a few months on consoles. The game's publisher has informed us that it will be released in Q1 2016 on both the PS4 and Xbox One.
The developers explain that the reason for the delay is to polish the game and implement some of the feedback they received during the game's closed beta or "Head Start" program.
“The decision to delay the launch of Sword Coast Legends was not an easy one to make, but after receiving feedback from our dedicated community, it became clear that a few more weeks of polish would provide our customers with the best possible experience at launch,” said said game director Dan Tudge.
Set in the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms setting in locations not far from Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate, the upcoming game plays a lot like the classic BioWare and Black Isle Studios RPGs with the player in control of a party of four characters. The game features a full fledged single-player campaign as well as a multiplayer mode for Dungeon Masters to direct their own campaigns.
Players who pre-ordered the game will receive the Rage of Demons DLC and access to upcoming Head Start activities.
The game can be pre-ordered from Steam and PlayStation Store right now for $34.99.
