The next DLC for Rocket League, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, has been announced today by developer Psyonix.
This expansion for the football-with-cars game is inspired by Psyonix's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Rocket League's predecessor which didn't generate as much buzz as its successor.
Revenge of the Battles-Cars introduces new vehicles, paint types, rocket boosts, wheels, and more. The DLC will be available next month on PC and PS4, with a release date still-to-be-confirmed. If you don't buy it you'll still get two new variations of the game's maps, including a dusk version of Utopia Coliseum and a night version of Urban Station.
Over on the PlayStation Blog Psyonix's Jeremy Dunham teased that these will be Rocket League's last "regulation-style" maps for the forseeable future. Instead, players can look forward to "more unusual layouts and settings," he wrote. Additional details will be revealed later this year.
This is what you get with Revenge of the Battle-Cars:
- 2 Classic SARPBC Battle-Cars: Scarab and Zippy
