As Marvel has shown us recently, they’re doing their best to try and bring all sorts of heroes from their backlog to the forefront. Just this year, we’ve had Kate Bishop, Moon Knight, and soon enough, we’ll have Ms. Marvel making her debut. But in August, we’re going to get another character from their long history showing up…She-Hulk. And this “Attorney At Law” is going to have a very interesting series no doubt…but whether it’s for you might just depend on how you view its debut trailer that just came out.
In it, we see the very normal Jennifer Walters and how she’s just trying to get by in life as a lawyer whose cousin just so happens to be the Incredible Hulk. While they don’t reveal HOW she gets her own Hulk powers in the trailer, we do see her and Hulk interact in parts of the trailer as he tries to get her to transform.
We also get to see how the world reacts to her being a green (in many ways) superhero and all that comes with it. Including how it affects her lawyer job, her friends, and apparently…her dating life…yeah…
We also do get a glimpse of what she’s going to go through on the allies/enemy’s side, as we get glimpses of Frog Man, Titania, and more.
There’s obviously going to be more here, and the people behind it have noted that this is going to be more of a comedy show than anything else (which is interesting given that Marvel’s cinematic universe is very much already a comedy series…) but we’ll just have to see how it plays out.
The good news is that no matter what, it won’t be too much of a wait for it as it’s going to come out on August 7th.
