Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is the latest in an attempt to not just bring the Warriors concept of video games to Nintendo properties, but to make it one that has a more meaningful tie-in to the games they’re based on. Because as Age of Calamity showed for Hyrule Warriors, there’s fun in telling a new story in a familiar world while still having the 1v100 gameplay. And that is the motivation behind Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, which brings a new story to the realm of Three Houses.
And today, we got a trailer for the Kingdom of Faerghus, aka the Blue Lions house. Though somewhat short, we get to see the main cast of characters from that house and how they’re playing when in combat. Dmitri, Dedue, Mercedes, Ashe, Felix, Annette, Sylvain and Ingrid were all on display, and each one having a different kind of weapon and combat style, as well as some glimpses into how their various crests are going to help them in combat and beyond.
The other two houses, the Black Eagles and the Golden Deer, will no doubt be getting similar character trailers when the time comes, so be on the lookout for that.
Much like Fire Emblem Three Houses, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes will give you the choice to pick one of these houses/kingdoms and follow them on the journey wherever it takes them. All so you can fight a certain familiar face at the behest of a new god in the lore. So it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Plus, they’re bringing in other mechanics from Three Houses for you to use. Including being able to change the class of certain characters, doing pair-ups, doing battle strategy, and more.
