Hideo Kojima's latest title, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, has topped the sales charts in the United Kingdom in its first week of release. Data released by sales monitor ChartTrack reveals that 72 percent of the game's sales were on the PlayStation 4.
However, the game's debut performance is still lower than Batman: Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, both of which were released to stronger sales during their first week.
Coming in second place is Mad Max, followed by Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Until Dawn, and Disney Infinity 3.0.
Grand Theft Auto V and both Xbox and PlayStation editions of Minecraft remain staples on the list, sitting at places 6, 8, and 9 respectively.
