Star Wars Battlefront may not have a single-player campaign, but that doesn't mean it can't have a tie-in novel. Announced today, LucasBooks is publishing Star Wars Battlefront – Twilight Company by Alexander Freed. The author's previous works includes Star Wars: The Old Republic – The Lost Suns.
In Twilight Company, the story follows a military unit belonging to the Rebel Alliance consisting of men and women of human and alien races in their war against the Imperials. Judging from the synopsis of the book, it sounds a lot like Glen Cook's The Black Company, but set in the Star Wars universe.
Here's what the synopsis says:
Among the stars and across the vast expanses of space, the Galactic Civil War rages. On the battlefields of multiple worlds in the Mid Rim, legions of ruthless stormtroopers—bent on crushing resistance to the Empire wherever it arises—are waging close and brutal combat against an armada of freedom fighters.
