Planetary Annihilation: Titans is the stand-alone expansion pack to last year’s RTS Planetary Annihilation from developer Uber Entertainment and it’s available today.
When Planetary Annihilation originally launched, it was met with plenty of criticism from critics and fans alike, especially those that backed the game on Kickstarter. Uber Entertainment has been hard at work trying to implement changes and fixes to the base came for the 10 months following release and those changes are now fully realized in Planetary Annihilation: Titans.
"It takes everything we've learned from Planetary Annihilation over the last two years plus feedback from our players and combines it into a new experience," Uber Entertainment said.
Some of the additions that Titans brings to the game include a total of 21 new units (five of which are the coveted titan class units), new multi-level terrain (addressing complaints of flat, uninspired maps in the original game), a new bounty mode, and improved tutorials for single-player mode (another common complaint addressed).
Those who backed Planetary Annihilation on Kickstarter will receive Titans for free and those that already own the original game can pick up Titans at a discount. Those who are new to the series can pick up Planetary Annihilation: Titans on Steam for $40.
Planetary Annihilation was crowd-funded on Kickstarter in 2012, raising more than $2.2 million in total. Following a stint on Steam Early Access, Planetary Annihilation launched publicly in September 2014.
