Did you buy the Asian version of Batman: Arkham Knight for PlayStation 4? I’m afraid we have some bad news for you.
As Warner Bros Games confirmed in an email to a consumer, some of the exclusive skins were ‘never offered’ for the Asian version of the game. This means that consumers that owned this version will never get the chance to buy them. However, there is more to this story.
As fans point out, the Batman: Arkham Knight PlayStation 4 Bundle and the Batman: Arkham Knight Steelbook Edition were sold and advertised in Asia with the promise of these exclusive skins. Here's a screenshot from the PS4 Hong Kong site that says as much:
This fan’s testimony, having purchased the steelbook set, is that the Scarecrow missions code that were bundled in worked. There was another code for exclusive skins, specifically for Classic TV series Batman, AKA Adam West, and Justice League 3000 Batman. However, instead of giving him those skins, the codes gave him the New 52 skins instead.
It’s not clear why WB Games would promise one thing and deliver another here. Was this merely a communication/coordination issue within WB? In any case, if you happen to live in a region that offers the Asian version, get a different version instead.
