Boy, do I love Japanese game trailers, and Sega's lastest promo for Binary Domain has all the reasons why. There's the unbelievably deep voice overs, the dramatic music, the text flying away from the screen. After watching this thing, I can't help but feel that Western trailers are really dropping the ball.
Binary Domain, Ryu ga Gotoku Studio's debut game, is a squad based-shooter set in 2080 Tokyo. You'll be leading a raid into Japan to shut down their illegal production of humanoid robots. Doesn't look like the robots will be taking too kindly to your mission, if that guy with the half-melted face is anything to go off of.
The team's put a lot of effort into the game's AI, which will place a heavy emphasis on strategic combat and squad movement. It'll also enable you to issue simple voice commands to your teammates in the heat of battle.
Binary Domain will be launching on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this February 14 in North America, with Europeans getting the game three days later.
