Fallout 4 isn't the only game in the series on the horizon. Fans working on Fallout: The Frontier have released a trailer that showcases the work they've done on it so far and have announced that they plan to release the Fallout: New Vegas mod by the end of the year.
Set in the snowy wastelands of Portland, Oregon, players of Fallout: The Frontier will have to cope with the freezing temperatures brought on by nuclear winter. The overall size of the mod is said to be just as big as the Mojave in New Vegas.
The mod features dynamic weather effects that can affect your character's health, an assortment of survival-related activities including trappind and hunting, tough moral choices, an assortment of new wildlife, new items, and more.
Here are some of its features:
New Worldspace Design
The Frontier is an open world of 16 by 16 km in the northwestern part of U.S.A. This city lies frozen in time, with the NCR and the Legion locked in a bloody struggle for its secret.
New Gameplay
Fight against the elements, brave through the ruins of the Frontier and conquer your enemies. Weather will play a HUGE role in the Frontier… so be prepared.
Unique FX
The Frontier brings you with completely new and meticulously created FX that fit the new winter themed worldspace. This includes mist, smoke, snow, footsteps, vultures, fires and explosions.
Players will be able to import their characters from New Vegas to use in the new campaign.
