Destiny: The Taken King’s Armory Teased By Bungie

July 24, 2015 by Vanessa Lopa

The newest expansion boasts of the largest armory, exceeding what the game launched with.

We’ve witnessed Destiny: The Taken King go through some rough spots; the initial consumer-unfriendly pricing made fans unhappy, angered fans further with a tie-up that backfired big time, and decided to make some changes because everything was piling up. As its launch draws nearer, Bungie appears to be trying to endear it to players by giving them a little taste of what’s to come.

Bungie’s newest update brings with it a small collection of the weapons that will be available in The Taken King, because not everything can be solved with space magic. Three of the foundries have presented a small sampling; the expansion will feature an armory even larger than what Destiny had at launch, and some of these look pretty sweet.

From Häkke: The instrument of the people; it is not about exciting form, but exciting function. Here are the Auto Rifle, Shotgun, and Pulse Rifle.

From Omolon: Experimental and powered by barely understood technology, Omolon’s weapons are bordering on irresponsible. This is the future returned. See the Scout Rifle, Hand Cannon, and Sniper Rifle below.

From Suros: Focusing on precision, Suros is elegance amidst brutality. The Auto Rifle, Scout Rifle, and Rocket Launcher are shown here.

The rest of the arms will likely be revealed as the Taken War escalates, and players will have more options than ever before to arm themselves with. Factions and classes will have their own guns, and there will be Quests leading players to specific guns as well.

Destiny: The Taken King will be available beginning September 15 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
