Bloodborne was an evolution of the movement and combat systems in From Software's games, and the upcoming Dark Souls 3 is set to see aspects of the title.
In the latest issue of Edge Magazine, a featurette about the upcoming game reveals how the game has clear influences from Bloodborne.
Besides being a generally faster, more fluidly paced game than the previous Dark Souls titles, attack animations and backstepping have been sped up to allow players to move faster, at least in comparison to the previous titles in the series.
There is also a new Ready Stance combat mechanic that allows players to enter it to perform a wide range of attacks, including a crowd-control ability called Spin. Another is the ability to lunge forward and break enemies' guards.
The magazine writes that "the protagonist strikes with a level of grace and speed unmatched in previous Souls games," while equipping a scimitar.
