A new patch for Dying Light 2 has been released and it includes fixes to tackle some of the problems reported by players. Patch 1.2 is now available for PC players and will be rolled out for console players in the next few days. The update should be viewed as a positive step for Dying Light 2 players, who have had issues with quest progression and co-op gameplay, to name a few.
The new patch adds improvements to the overall gameplay, but in particular, players will be pleased to see that problems with ragdoll mechanics and death loops are being tackled. In addition to this, the latest update for Dying Light 2 includes multiple improvements to combat, fixes to the UI and UX, fixes to Nightrunner tools and solutions for problems with story progression in both singleplayer and co-op mode. It also has fixes for the final boss fight, night balance and other technical and overall quality improvements to the game.
Some of the more important improvements to combat include improved Biter behaviour during the day, improved enemy reactions based on the type of weapon used and light hit reactions for human enemies being shortened. Additionally, a Brutality Pack is also being implemented as part of the patch, which enhances the game’s melee combat with the inclusion of more precise (and gory) visual and audio details.
Blocks in multiple quests have been fixed. These include Into The Dark, Assassination, Sophie in The Raid Quest, Hubert in The Only Way Out, Veronika, Nightrunners, The Lost Light and Double Time. In addition, issues with safe zones had been reported, such as not being able to sleep or the in-game clock stopping. These have now been fixed in patch 1.2.
Several performance drops for co-op mode have also been dealt with, as well as stability issues such as game crashes or players experiencing black screens in certain scenarios.
