Sony is making a move also to provide their lines of exclusives on the PC platform. It’s a huge change-up for Sony, and ultimately, this works out in favor of PC players. However, there is a slight problem when comparing Sony and Microsoft’s push to get these exclusives onto PC. Microsoft brings out their exclusives alongside consoles, so there’s typically no waiting to receive a port when the game initially launches. Meanwhile, Sony has been relatively slow with its PC releases. But, this year, we’re getting the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection to the platform.
Naughty Dog is an iconic and cherished video game development studio owned by Sony. They have delivered several big hits over the years. The games range from Jax and Daxter, The Last of Us, and of course, Uncharted. The Uncharted franchise started on the PlayStation 3 and continued to thrive through the PlayStation 4. Now, Sony is bringing out the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection for PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. Today, we’re getting a look at the official launch trailer for this game collection. But, if this is your first time hearing about the collection, don’t expect the entire series to be available.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection only comes with two games. Those video games are Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the standalone expansion release, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Unfortunately, players would be missing out on the first three mainline installments for the IP, but these last two installments have been well-beloved by the fan base. So while you can check out the launch trailer for this game collection, those on the PC platform might be waiting a bit longer for their platform release. At the moment, we know that the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection will be available on the PlayStation 5 this January 28, 2022.
We know the PC platform is coming, but it won’t be available until sometime later this year. Hopefully, the wait is not too painfully long to endure. However, 2022 is already shaping up to be a filled year of incredible video game releases. So you should find something available to pick up and play in the meantime. Likewise, you might have a better shot at waiting for the game to release on PC than actually finding a PlayStation 5 console within retail.
