Batman: Arkham Knight is coming out in June. It's probably one of the most anticipated licensed video games to ever hit store shelves, mainly due to the fact that Rocksteady Studios – who develops the game – has proven that they can craft quality titles. If anyone is deserving of a star video games treatment, it's definitely The Caped Crusader.
It turns out that there are plans for Batman: Arkham Knight to get yet another comic book miniseries based on its lore. In an effort to explain the origins of the game's primary antagonist – the Arkham Knight – there will be a six book series released before the game comes out. It will be entitled Arkham Knight: Genesis and is written by the same people who have written the New 52 iteration of Batman. For those of you who aren't as familiar with comics, DC Comics' New 52 event is an effort to reboot the universe of characters in order to revitalize interest in their stories.
At any rate, this is exciting news. A lot of emphasis is often placed on heroes, as it should be. That said, it's fun to learn about the various villains of each heroes' universe, especially Batman's – his are always so interesting.
Here's a video that shows the cover art of Arkham Knight: Genesis.
