Rockstar revealed in a recent interview that the team that worked on the PC port were made up of studio veterans who also worked on the PC versions of Grand Theft Auto 4, Max Payne 3 andLA Noire. Thanks to 8th generation consoles sharing the same x86 architecture Windows PCs use, these developers also worked on the console versions of the game.
Rockstar swears they learned their lesson from Grand Theft Auto 4, and because of this, the game is more adaptable to a variety of PC configurations. Of course, these are all ports of a 7th generation game, but even then Rockstar was planning ahead by making the assets for Grand Theft Auto 5 ready for PC.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will be published on PC on April 14.
